Raya had a lump on her chest. My vet took a biopsy, and a week later I received the result saying that Raya had a tumour but it was not malignant.

Raya had been coughing a bit lately, as if she had a cold, although she didn’t seem to be sick. She was eating well and her fur was in good condition. So I took her to the vet to spay her and to remove the tumour on her chest. My vet’s x-ray equipment is very modern, and even better than the x-ray equipment in the hospital in Norway. As a matter of fact it was even mentioned in the news.

I told him about the coughing, and he saw a tumour on one of her vocal cords. My vet took an x-ray of the tumour that was supposedly not malignant, and saw a thin line leading into the lung. He said there was some fluid there and that I should let her go to sleep and not try doing more.

So I went home with an empty cage.

I am not used to this, but I know it was the right thing to do. My vet is very good.

Raya is the Mother and Grandmother to some very nice cats around the world, and I often look at her offsprings on the Internet. We still have all her good qualities in Reve-Enka
